I came out to my parents at 15 and for the first time realized how great it felt to be myself. I realized no matter what age you choose to comes out, the huge burden finally off your shoulders is a relatable feeling we all share no matter what background we come from. I came from a conservative Asian family background, I was very lucky that my parents supported me and later on my marriage. Other gay Asians don’t have that luxury because of family/ cultural expectations. However we do have our chosen family if things do go south. Whenever you’re ready to have that conversation with yourself to come out, you’ll feel a feeling that you’ve been missing your whole life💕 - @maui87a
